Once upon a time, in a land called Judea, there lived a man named Jesus. Jesus was a kind and loving teacher who traveled from town to town, spreading messages of love, kindness, and forgiveness.
Many people loved Jesus and followed him wherever he went. They called him their friend and teacher. But not everyone liked Jesus. Some people were jealous of him because he taught things that were different from what they believed.
One day, some of these people decided to arrest Jesus. They took him to the leaders of their town and accused him of saying things that they didn’t like. Even though Jesus had done nothing wrong, the leaders decided to punish him.
They took Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which means “the place of the skull.” There, they nailed him to a wooden cross and left him to die. Jesus’ friends and followers watched in sadness as he hung on the cross, suffering and in pain.
As Jesus hung on the cross, he looked down at the people below him and said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Even in his pain, Jesus still cared about others and wanted them to be forgiven.
After several hours, Jesus took his last breath and died. The sky grew dark, and there was an earthquake. Jesus’ friends took his body down from the cross and buried him in a nearby tomb.
But the story doesn’t end there, children. Three days later, something amazing happened. Jesus rose from the dead! His friends and followers were overjoyed to see him again. They realized that Jesus was more than just a teacher—he was the Son of God, who came to earth to save us all.
And so, children, the story of the Crucifixion teaches us about love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. Jesus died on the cross to show us how much God loves us and to forgive us for our sins. His death and resurrection give us hope and remind us that we are never alone.
